Introducing: Stainless Steel and Silicone Dual Sheath E-Nail Whips June 23, 2015 – Posted in: Announcements – Tags: , , , ,

This cable tech brings an end to kinked wires and oily fraying fabric sheathing on your e-nail whip. Matching our standard spec coil, a favourited 180w K-type flat disc coil this e-nail whip quickly reaches temperature and blazes through big dabs.

There are many options for coating the outside of a cable set, and we originally chose Kevlar as the whip sheath of choice. Unfortunately for both Kevlar and fibreglass, oil and other extracts can become embedded in the fibers – staining permanently. A Non-stick silicone coating was the obvious solution to a very common problem. Silicone on it’s own does not offer enough protection from kinking and pinching, but this can be helped. A medium length 36″ whip is protected by a dual layer sheathing system of braided Stainless Steel and Silicone. By strengthening one of the weakest components in any e-nail assembly, we hope to keep you dabbing off your digitorch even longer.

The inner sheath of stainless steel braided hose protects the wires within from kinking, while the non-stick silicone outer layer prevents unsightly mess. The only downside to the double strength armored sheath is it’s rigidity. The whip can still be coiled and bent to the same degree as a Kevlar wrapped coil however, it wants to straighten itself out if not strapped into the coiled position.
